Thetford Businesses in the spotlight - 13th September 2007

Business in Thetford was put in the shop window on Thursday 13th September, at a unique event designed to represent the breadth of business services offered by companies in the town. Around 40 local companies exhibited at the event, held at the Keystone Innovation Centre.
Visitors to the event, officially opened by the Rt. Hon. Christopher Fraser MP, were able to meet other business providers and learn about the huge variety of businesses on their doorstep. The event included a networking lunch, kindly sponsored by Lloyds TSB Business Banking, and workshops run by Richard Parramint, from Positive Speech, aimed at equipping attendees with new skills and techniques for improving public speaking.
The event, hosted in partnership by REV and the Women In Business Forum, was the first of its kind for Thetford. Whilst the event was free for exhibitors to display, a voluntary option to donate money to the Thetford High Schools Appeal to gain Specialist Schools Status raised in excess of £2,000 for the cause.
