The Rural Enterprise Valley project (Rev project) was an exciting multi-million pound investment to establish the A11 corridor in and around Thetford, Norfolk, as the place to do business for companies involved in the advanced engineering and motorsport industries.

Rev aims to develop and grow a cluster of like minded businesses. It will encourage small and medium size companies to relocate to the area with the offer of a comprehensive support package.

Research has already been carried out to establish the needs of the sector; Rev provided support, advice, premises and investment encouraging businesses to achieve through one or more of the following six project areas,

1. Business Broker
2. Business Grant
3. Skills and Recruitment Broker
4. Youth Engagement & Graduate Employment
5. The Thetford Enterprise Park
6. Inward investment



The six project areas offered a comprehensive support and development package meeting the unfulfilled needs of the sector. Any small to medium size business will be able to access appropriate support at any given time from one or more of the six project areas. Linked together the projects will provide a seamless and efficient service eliminating the barriers to growth facing the individual businesses and the business community.

Breckland has so much to offer both businesses and families relocating to the area.

For the business there is a choice of affordable and purpose built premises or alternatively land for development as well as an excellent transport infrastructure, plentiful work force, support services and a business community committed to continued improvement.

For families relocating there is the best of both worlds with Breckland offering an area of outstanding natural beauty, picturesque villages and towns with properties to suit all price ranges and excellent support services including several nationally recognised education establishments. Alternatively only thirty minutes away is the City of Norwich, one of the top shopping destinations in the UK and ideal for those that like the buzz of a city.
